Abstract
An exceptional lesion of the adrenal glands in a case of prune belly syndrome is described. It consists of cortical and medullary hypoplasia, cystic degeneration of the medulla and failure of the migrating neuroblasts to mature into pheochromocytes. The pathogenesis of this lesion, collectively labeled as benign cystic dysplasia, is discussed briefly. Keywords
