Abstract
Current diffusion was studied in near-circular discharges in Doublet III when the plasma current was programmed to rise linearly from an initial steady level to a second, higher, steady level. Classical current diffusion was observed for İp up to 7 MAs−1; discharges with İp>2 MAs−1, however, disrupted at the transition from the current ramp to the second steady level. Keywords
