Recovery of a Newly Recognized Enterovirus from Patients with Aseptic Meningitis

Abstract
ATTEMPTS to isolate a virus in this laboratory over the past six years on stool specimens from patients with symptoms of Central-nervous-system disease have yielded 16 strains immunologically identical to an ECHO-virus candidate strain (Caldwell).
