Abstract
The reported results give some indications concerning the use of Ittrich method for estrogen determination in urine by fluorimetry. With the « direct method » it is possible to obtain interesting results concerning the estrogen excretion during middle and late pregnancy. It is however necessary to dilute the urines to at least 1/20. With the « indirect method » and the use of tetrabromethane the urinary elimination of estrogen may be followed during the menstrual cycle. For more exact determination however fractionation of the estrogens is necessary. The reported data also indicate that with Ittrich method of purification there still remains some degree of inhibition of the fluorescence.
