Development of Immunity in Mice after Vaccination with Inactivated Poliomyelitis Virus

Abstract
Summary: The intraperitoneal inoculation of inactivated poliomyelitis virus type 2 into mice induces protection when given 3 days before intravenous infection. The protection demonstrated is type specific, i.e., only the homologous antigen is effective. A relationship between antigen concentration and proportion of survivors is demonstrated.
