Abstract

The significance of two low-energy theorems relating

π \to 2 γ

,

γ \to 3 π

, and

2 γ \to 3 π

is stated. The processes

π^{\pm} + (Z, A) \to (Z, A) + π^{\pm} + π^{0}

,

e^{+} e^{-} \to e^{+} e^{-} 3 π

, and

e^{+} e^{-} \to 3 π

are discussed as experiments providing a check on these theorems. Some rate estimates are given.
