Abstract
Fine Fe particles produced by evaporation in Ar gas are applied to the observation of magnetic domains. Results of fundamental investigations of the patterns formed by the particles are described. Domain patterns of a Sm-Co polycrystalline magnet and magneto-optically recorded bit patterns in Tb-Fe-Co films are observed by this method. The results are compared to the patterns obtained by the Bitter colloid method and discussion is presented on the prospective improvement of the resolution. Keywords
