Abstract
Isolated noncompaction of the ventricular myocardium is a rare congenital disorder. We have reported elsewhere that the incidence of this unique cardiomyopathy is 0.05 percent in adults.1 In the report of the 1995 World Health Organization–International Society and Federation of Cardiology task force on the definition and classification of cardiomyopathies, noncompacted myocardium has been categorized as unclassified cardiomyopathy.2Keywords
