Abstract
The microtubular disruptive drugs colchicine and vinblastine were found to have a strong enhancing effect on the in vitro migration of normal guinea pig peritoneal exudate macrophages. Both drugs were also found to protect macrophages from the migration inhibitory effect of supernatants of antigen-stimulated sensitized lymphocyte cultures. These findings suggest that colchicine and vinblastine may be of potential use as suppressors of the peripheral manifestations of delayed hypersensitivity. Keywords
