Abstract
Autonomic and pudendal neuropathies are frequent and neglected diseases affecting the genitourinary system. In the initial stages they frequently are asymptomatic. Autonomic neuropathy is seen in association with peripheral neuropathy in a wide range of metabolic diseases, including diabetes mellitus. Diagnosis can only be made directly by electrophysiologic methods. Treatment is based on an adequate laboratory study of genitourinary function. This publication has 35 references indexed in Scilit:
