Abstract
Tetrasulphur dinitride, as prepared by published methods, is a single substance and not a mixture of isomers. Its dipole moment, 14N n.m.r. spectrum, mass spectrum, electronic spectrum, i.r. spectrum, and Raman spectrum have been determined. This physical evidence shows that the compound has a cyclic structure with the nitrogen atoms in the 1,3-positions.Keywords
