The variability of RY Lupi

Abstract
Simultaneous optical and infrared broadband photometry $$(0.35\,\leqslant\,\lambda (\mu \text{m})\,\leqslant\,3.5)$$ and Hβ index photometry have been obtained for the T Tauri star RY Lupi. Our results favour a model in which the variability of the star is caused by variable circumstellar extinction.
