Abstract
Charge-exchange reactions between multiply-charged impurity ions and neutral hydrogen isotopes are considered. Ionization equilibrium and radiative losses are evaluated for oxygen and iron in the presence of either 'thermal' or 'beam' neutrals. The influence of 'thermal' neutrals on recently reported results for ohmically heated TFR discharges is also discussed. Keywords
