Abstract
Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) was grown in nutrient solution in the greenhouse. Mn concentrations in the nutrient solutions used ranged from 0.0025 to 50,000 mg/1. Visual symptoms associated with high tissue Mn content were stunting, general chlorosis, necrotic leaf spots, white flecking, purpling, and leaf tip burn. Mn tissue concentrations of 380 mg/kg were found to reduce dry matter production by 10%.Keywords
