Abstract
A possibility to present the collective state wave functions of the triaxial rotor as multiple ‘‘Q excitations’’ built on the ground state is analyzed. It is shown that for arbitrary γ the wave functions of the low lying states of the ground and other bands are approximately pure multiple ‘‘Q excitation’’ states with an accuracy better than 75%. © 1996 The American Physical Society. Keywords
