Abstract
Classical metabolisable energy values (at 90 per cent dry matter) for soya bean meal, Minor's tick bean meal and Throws MS bean meal determined in balance experiments using colostomised laying hens were 2.57, 2.47 and 2.39 kcal/g respectively. True digestibility coefficients for the crude protein of the beans were 90, 84 and 81 per cent respectively; the amino acid digestibility coefficients were generally close to those for crude protein. Keywords
