Abstract
A new technique for the recovery of bacteria from the blood of animals using the membrane filter is described. While it requires more processing steps than does the previously described method of Braun, the actual time of processing is less and a greater amount of blood is filtered. The new technique was compared to a routine blood culture technique. It proved to be as good as, and usually better than, the routine method with which it was compared. Keywords
