Abstract
A general study of nucleon potentials with repulsive cores has been made. In this paper, consideration is given to repulsions of finite strength and, for an exponential attractive potential and for the 1S n−p system, it is shown to what accuracy the core may be replaced by an infinite one with a smaller radius. Keywords
