Abstract
In this paper we have utilized resummation methods to eliminate the divergent behavior of truncated moment expansions of the velocity-autocorrelation function. We have demonstrated the equivalence between these resummation methods and Padé approximants. We have utilized the second row of the Padé table to simulate the well-known cage effect to obtain the negative dip in the correlation function. Finally, we have shown that these approximants have the correct time parity and yield a good value for the diffusion coefficient.
