Abstract
Two carbohydrate-free rations and a low carbohydrate ration were found under intensive tests to be incapable of producing tooth decay in a highly-caries susceptible strain of rats. Even in trials as long as one and two years after the rats were desalivated to increase the susceptibility to tooth decay, no carious lesions developed. Keywords
