Abstract
A case of a primary carcinoid tumor of the middle ear is presented. This neoplasm superficially resembles a so-called 'adenomatous' middle ear tumor. The importance of transmission electron microscopy and histochemical staining (Grimelius technique) are discussed.Keywords
