Abstract
The hypercalcemic response to a Ca load was compared in 11 intact and 11 thyroidectomized conscious mature ewes. The response over a 120-min. period was greater in the thyroidectomized ewes. Thyroidectomized ewes showed higher serum levels of P and Mg than intact ewes, but these did not change in response to the Ca load in either group. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
