Abstract
To the Editor: Although Heptavax B (hepatitis B vaccine, as prepared from human serum) has been reported to be associated with erythema nodosum,1 , 2 Recombivax HB (hepatitis B vaccine prepared by recombinant-DNA techniques) has not previously been reported to have this association.3 A 43-year-old woman working as a custodian in an intensive care unit was given her first dose of Recombivax HB in November 1988. Four days later, several painful nodules developed on the anterior tibial portion of each leg. She reported no injury, fever, chills, cough, arthralgias, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sore throat, night sweats, weight loss, fatigue, or cat scratches . . .Keywords
