Abstract
Four brands of commercial peptone were analyzed quantitatively for N fractions; total N was practically the same, but there was a marked difference in N fractions. Witte and Difco-Proteose peptones contained the largest amount of so-called "protein" N. It is probable that most of this N is proteose in character. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
