Abstract
Signal flow graphs, which are used widely in microwave circuit theory, are applied to the analysis of optical cavities. Flow graphs describing common optical components and systems are derived, and toplogical and analytical methods of solution are summarized. The technique is used to analyze the influence of an etalon on the modes of a laser cavity. Keywords
