Abstract
Eye-potential measurements taken in a standard manner on 9 people with unilateral enucleations demonstrated values for the single active eye which correspond closely with the comparative values found for normal 2-eyed people. The standard 30[degree] lead-off angle registers an avg. potential for the active eye of about 0.7 mv. In most instances the region about the artificial eye shows quite small potentials. These expts. offer further evidence that the potentials are derived from the bulbus and not from the extra-ocular eye muscles or adjoining tissues in the orbit. Individual differences in the spread of electrification from the active eye to adjoining tissues of enucleates appeared to be quite marked. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
