Abstract
High frequency plant regeneration is reported from nodal explant cultures of Duboisia myoporoides. For the optimal growth of the axillary bud and it subsequent multiplication, fortification of 1.0 mg.l-1 IAA along with 2.0 mg.l-1 Kn or BAP was found to be essential. No other auxin could replace IAA since they led to callus formation. Rooting could be induced by auxin alone (0.5 mg.l-1 NAA), as expected, but only after replacing semi-solid basal medium of Murashige and Skoog (MS) with static liquid MS. No synergism was noticed between cytokinins and adenine sulphate, while GA3 proved significantly suppressive for the shoot growth. The plantlets thus obtained were successfully raised in large numbers to normal adults under field conditionsThis publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
