Abstract
Quality of long-term care programs is linked to the availability of nursing home or in-home service programs appropriate to the older person's disabilities and wishes. Therefore policies that implement comprehensive supportive service programs and information on long-term care options are essential to improving quality of care. Efforts in one state toward these ends have met with considerable difficulty. It appears desirable to encourage related delivery systems to sponsor such programs.
