Abstract
We have obtained numerical solutions for the coupled equations describing the charge density and the curvature in a nematic system under oscillating electric fields (rectangular pulses or sine waves). In both cases, the resulting curve of threshold voltage versus frequency has an S shape in the vicinity of the cut off frequency. This should lead to observable hysteresis effectsKeywords
