Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 92-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of diplopia and weakness of the right facial nerve and left leg.There was a history of hypothyroidism, managed with levothyroxine. She was otherwise in good health until about two years earlier, when her family began to notice intermittent mild confusion. Ten months before admission the patient felt slightly fatigued and unsteady. A physician found that she had discontinued the levothyroxine and advised her to resume it.
