Abstract
A survey is given of the literature on plants reported to cause photodermatitis; arguments are presented to show that the description of some of these plants among the group of photosensitizers is unjustified. Alcoholic extracts as well as extracts in alcohol-water of Agrimonia eupatoria, Anthriscus sylvestris, Daucus carota, Achillea millefolium and Convolvulus arvensis, were tested for possible photosensitizing activity; the 3 plants mentioned first had a weak photosensitizing activity; the other 2 plants had no such action. Keywords
