Abstract
To the Editor.— In the January Archives (114:98-99, 1978) Rower et al reported five cases of an entity characterized by progressive zosteriform macular pigmented lesions on the lower part of the trunk and thighs. We are reporting another similar case. Report of a Case.— An otherwise healthy 40-year-old woman was seen initially in September 1978 with skin lesions of eight months' duration on the left flank. The lesions had been asymptomatic except for occasional, mild itching. There was no history of injury to the area or any prior cutaneous changes. Examination indicated many light brown macules on the left lateral lower part of the trunk, extending to the paravertebral region on the back. Five months after initial examination, the patient returned, with an increase in number and size of lesions at the same site.
