Abstract
The dependence of photoacoustic spectrometer sensitivity on the physical dimensions of the sample cell was investigated for sizes larger than and smaller than the gas thermal diffusion length. The results depend on the thermal properties of the gas and the sample in agreement with an extension of Parker’s theory of photoacoustic signal generation. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
