Abstract
With the use of an electrolytic desalter attempts were made to remove salts from Ringer and thyroxine solutions. Paper chromatography was used for the separation and subsequent identification of compounds. The use of the desalter resulted in removal of iodine from aromatic linkage, including thyroxine, triiodothyronine, diiodothyrosine and several of the fatty acid side-chain analogs of thyroxine. Keywords
