Abstract
1-Acetoxy-10-n-propyltrideca-trans-5,9-diene, the proposed structure of propylure, sex attractant of the pink bollworm moth, has been synthesised by a seven-stage procedure in 18% overall yield. The material is reported to have biological activity comparable to that of the natural attractant. Keywords
