Diagnosis of uterine-Tube Carcinoma by Vaginal Cytology

Abstract
Cases of positive and atypical cytosmears with carcinoma of the uterine tube are presented. Persistently positive cytosmears in cases in which diagnostic currettage and cervical biopsies have yielded negative results suggest either that the latter procedures have failed to locate the uterine malignancy or that the neoplasm is located beyond the uterus in the tube, ovary, or peritoneum. Complete medical investigation and, on rare occasions, abdominal exploratory operation are indicated in such instances.
