Abstract
Of 11 amides derived from pantoic acid, synthesized and examined as antagonists of pantothenic acid with respect to growth of Lactobacillus casei [epsilon], pant-hydrazide showed marked antagonism in vitro but exhibited no therapeutic action in rats infected with Streptococcus pyogenes. The amide derived from 4-amino-phenyl-[beta]-amino ethylsulphone showed slight therapeutic activity. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
