Abstract
The theory of vibronic coupling in dimeric systems is extended to include mixing between electronic states of the same symmetry via a totally symmetric vibrational coordinate in the monomer. The inclusion of such mixing removes the discrepancy between theory and experiment in the intensity distribution in the fluorescence spectra of the stable anthracene dimer. Keywords
