Abstract
A procedure is presented for the simultaneous measurement of concentrations of labeled and non labeled hypoxanthine by HPLC in order to study hypoxanthine transport in erythrocytes. A radioactivity detector connected on-line to the high performance liquid chromatograph in series with a UV detector provides on-line quantitative monitoring of hypoxanthine in erythrocytes or incubation medium. The procedure provides a rapid, sensitive and convenient means for the study of hypoxanthine transport. Keywords
