Abstract
Normal serum plasmal values from a large number of subjects (175 males, 213 females) were compared with values found in the literature and submitted to statistical analysis. It was again confirmed that the plasmal values of males are significantly different from those of females. There is also a difference between the sexes in the plasmal content of erythrocytes. There was no correlation between serum and erythrocyte plasmal values. The ratio of acetal phosphatides to total lipids in erythrocytes is similar to that found in most other tissues, whereas it is low in the case of serum. The plasmal content of erythrocytes rises sharply in anemias. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
