Fogarty Catheter Technique for Removal of Endobronchial Foreign Body

Abstract
• An increasing number of internists and chest physicians have become participants in the practice of bronchoesophagology. The otolaryngologist seeking to broaden his skills in the art of bronchoscopic foreign body removal will find his task becoming increasingly difficult. We describe a rare case involving the aspiration of a 1.5-cm marble by a patient, resulting in marginal pulmonary function. What we believe is a previously unreported technique for rapid removal of the object was used. (Arch Otolaryngol 103:103-104, 1977)
