Abstract
Reversed micelles as problem solvers: They stabilize enzymes with respect to hydrophobic interactions, suppress possibly undesired properties of modified cofactors such as aggregate formation, and now make possible, among other things, EPR and ENDOR spectroscopy of the radical anions of riboflavin, flavin mononucleotide (FMN), and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) in aqueous media, without water being the actual solvent. In this way, problems arising from high microwave dielectric loss can be avoided. This publication has 21 references indexed in Scilit:
