Abstract
Summary A method of a combined abdominotranssacral approach for reconstruction of the rectum is described. The application of the technic for the salvage of small rectal stumps in three particularly diffcult clinical situations is demonstrated. Anastomosis is possible as low as 2 cm above the pectinate line with resultant true sphincteric continenceKeywords
