Abstract
Pressure-temperature excursions necessary for conversion of rhombohedral -Hg to body-centered tetragonal -Hg have been applied to single crystals of . The superconducting properties of the compound near 4 K are shown to track those of elemental - and -Hg which appear to be trapped within the sample.
