Abstract
The intensity of particles scattered elastically from a sample during bombardment with positive ions provides a useful complement to existing positive-ion microprobe techniques. This new approach can be used to give a rapid preliminary indication of gross elemental distributions, which is particularly valuable for identifying areas that require more detailed examination.Keywords
