Abstract
The present paper shows the theoretical heat transfer analysis for simultaneous radiation and convection in a thermal radiation absorbing and emitting medium in a flow between parallel flat plates. Consideration was given to a two-dimensional system consisting of two diffuse, black, isothermal plates with a flow pattern in which the velocity distribution is fully developed and the temperature of the fluid in the inlet is uniform. Numerical examples show the influence of parameters such as optical thickness and the ratio of convective energy to radiative energy on the transverse and longitudinal temperature distributions, and the mean and local Nusselt numbers. Keywords
