Abstract
The intercorrelations among the 11 subtests of the WPPSI were analyzed for each of the six age groups in the standardization sample, and clusters were found that clearly corresponded to the Verbal and Performance Scales. The results were in general agreement with those of previous research in which factor analysis was employed with the same data. Alternative interpretations are offered for the absence of a Freedom from Distractibility cluster (or factor). Keywords
