Abstract
The lateral line muscles of M. anguillicaudatus were homogenized and analyzed electrophoretically. Three types of myoglobin (Mb) patterns were observed. Two of them were designated MbA and MbB, in order of decreasing mobility. The 3rd type designated MbAB corresponded to a mixture of MbA and MbB. Mb polymorphism may provide a marked for genetic investigations.
