Abstract
This article is a very thorough description of the anatomy and physiology of the eye of the homing pigeon. The following topics indicate the nature of the study: the eye in regard to other structures, fields of vision, refractive indices of the media, accessory apparatus, glands, muscles, the sclera, the lens, the cornea, the choroid, the pectin, and the retina. The pigeon eye in certain respects is superior to the human eye. Its structural characteristics make it an organ of very high acuity. Keywords
