Abstract
In a reinterpretation of data previously presented by Kurt Stern, the author criticizes Stern''s explanation of the action in ontogeny of a mutant locus. Stern had postulated a summative effect toward normality of 2 mutant alleles, but an antagonistic effect of the mutant with the wild type allele. Goldschmidt offers a simple explanation based on the summation of the direct action of individual alleles. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
